Parking fee non-payment

The wardens of the Public Company for Ljubljana's Parking Facilities and Marketplaces, originally Javno podjetje ljubljanska parkirišča in tržnice, d.o.o. (hereinafter JP LPT, d.o.o.), check for parking fee payments in the time-limited parking area during working hours.

Insofar as the wardens of JP LPT d.o.o. determine that the parking fee, as in accordance with the Decree on regulation of traffic in the City of Ljubljana - with amendments and additions, has not been paid, they will issue a notice on the unpaid parking fee (hereinafter “notice”) to the user. On the basis of the notice issued, a parking fee of EUR 20.00 must be paid within eight days of receiving the notice.

In the event of non-payment of the parking fee, JP LPT d.o.o. subsequently submits a written proposal for the initiation of a quick misdemeanour procedure against the violator to the Municipal Police Department, which, if the liability for the misdemeanour is proven, may impose a fine of EUR 40.00 on the violator, order the payment of a court fee in the amount of EUR 40, and impose the confiscation of property benefits for the amount of unpaid parking fees in the amount of EUR 20.00, or 100 euros in total.

If you run into problems paying with one of the payment methods, use another parking meter. If the meter ejects your coins, it is most often a problem with the coins or the sum of the coins is too large, so the parking meter ejects them.

Report the error to our 24-hour Traffic Management Centre at one of the phone numbers listed on the parking meter: 00386 (01) 257 47 80 or 00386 31 772 926. An important piece of information is the number of the parking meter at which you are encountering the problem.

If you have successfully paid, but have not received a parking ticket, report this immediately to the aforementioned number so that they can verify the payment.

Before starting to check the payment of parking fees, wardens always first check the operation of all parking meters in the area using all three possible payment methods, including coins, Moneta, and Urbana. If you do not report the error to the Traffic Management Centre in time, we will not be able to consider your complaint.

If you paid via the Urbana SMS system, check whether you entered the correct information about the registration number and the zone in which you parked.
